My racing career began when I was just seven years old. It started with a trip to the local quarter midget track in the summer of 2000. After watching the races I was hooked. My parents bought me a car and signed me up for novice training. This began seven years of quarter midget racing. During this time I won three track championships, 4 regional championships, and set several track records. In 2007, at the age of 13, I moved into mini sprints and from there I moved into a full size sprint car in mid 2008. Racing has always been a family endeavor with both my parents by my side. While racing has always been my priority, my mother felt that I needed to experience other sports as well. In addition to racing I was a competitive gymnast for 5 years and a competitive cheerleader for 2 years. I gave up both of these sports when they began to conflict with racing. I still compete in high school sports that do not conflict with my racing, the school dive team and the Varsity Cheerleading squad. I am an honor student and ranked in the top five percent of my class. I visit local elementary schools with my sprint car to talk about vehicle safety and careers in motorsports. I am also on the list of call in volunteers at the Florida Special Olympic Headquarters in Clermont, FL. My family does not have a background in racing. I am the first person to pursue a career in racing. I feel that I have the best parents in the world because of all the sacrifices they have made over the years to help me continue racing. My father is a mechanic and my mother is an elementary school teacher. My goal in racing is to become a professional race car driver competing with the best drivers in the sport. I am willing to work hard and I feel that I have what it takes to be successful.
