Career Highlights:

In 2006 ran a limited schedule due to sharing the car with my brother A.J. at the just under a ½ mile Thunderhill Speedway in Mayettete, Ks. I had a very rough start to my career, during my first race I started at the back of the field. I started picking up speed very quickly. I soon moved to the high line and was starting to fight for position. On the next lap I hit the cushion at the top then the car turned towards the wall. Hitting near head on the car flipped over and landed on its top totaling it in my first career start.

In 2007 ran first full season at the 3/8 mile US 36 Raceway in Osborn, MO. Had some good runs and learned a lot. One of the best things about the year was getting to race A.J. and beating him. We borrowed our good friend and my mentor Paul Lanfermann II’s car for A.J. to use. Out of all the cars there somehow we made it into the same heat. In the heat he beat me by one position because pushed me out of the way on the last lap. In the feature the one that really counts I finished six places ahead of him. Another good thing out of 2007 was finishing 5th in the points standing. At the end of 2007 we ran at Lakeside Speedway 3 times in October and loved it and decided to run the full season there in 2008.

2008 was a tough year moved up to the ½ mile Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Ks. Lakeside Speedway was a big change from the previous years. Lakeside has a lot stronger and faster competitors than any other track that I have ever raced at. Best finishes of the year was 8th place in the feature twice. We also had one blown motor on the year and finished 19th out of about 40 in the season points standing. We ran 17 of 21 races for the year.

2009 was the 2nd year at Lakeside Speedway. Due to my football scholarship we ran a limited schedule but still had some good results. Got my 1st win in a heat race while holding off three feature winners from 2009 and spreading it out to a ½ a straight away win. The best feature finish of the year was a 3rd place finish in the B feature. During the year we also had two blown motors and finished 18th out of about 50 in the season points standing. Finishing one position better than 2008 and we only were able to run 13 of the 21 races.

About:

I was born on April 24th, 1991 to Lee and Laura Genail in Atchison, Kansas. I have one brother, A. J. Genail age 23. Growing up in the small community I have been active in various sports and Boy Scouts. I am an Eagle Scout. In Boy Scouts I held every leadership position to include organizing events and supervising various groups.
I graduated from Maur Hill Mount Academy Catholic High School in Atchison where I lettered in four sports. I am currently pursuing my education at Coffeyville Community College. I have an athletic scholarship for football where I play wide receiver.
Racing has been a part of my family my entire life. My grandfather raced for many years before I was born. My dad was always helping build and maintain various dirt cars from the time I was 5 yrs old, until my brother started racing in the Grand National class when I was 13. He raced for two years when I got my chance to start racing at age 15. This was when A.J. moved to North Carolina to attend Crew School. My first race was in May 2006 at Thunder Hill Speedway in Mayetta, Ks. I have raced each season since then.
I have also seen the other side of racing, the maintenance side. I have volunteered for Andy Hillenburg and Andy Belmont, at various tracks in the ARCA Series. During my times volunteering on the cars on those weekends I have also gone over the wall doing pit stops as the front tire carrier at the Iowa Speedway and Kansas Speedway while helping out Andy Belmont.

Racing Goals:
My goal is ultimately to drive in a NASCAR series. In 2010 my goals are to learn with Race 101. I would liket to finish in the top 5 or better in the points standings at Lakeside Speedway, along with winning at least 2 races. After all that I want to finish schooling at Race 101 as the top graduate and gain the Race 101 Pass Super Late Model ride. In 2011 I wish to gain experience running on asphalt in the Race 101 Late Model. I want to finish top 10 in the points. During 2011 I want to make connections with teams and team owners, as well as find a major sponsor to help with the 2012 season. In 2012 I want to use that sponsor to run a limited ARCA schedule while running a full asphalt Late Model schedule. In the Late Model I want to finish top 5 in the season point standing and win at least 2 races. I plan to find a full ARCA ride or major sponsor for the 2013 season. In 2013 run a full ARCA schedule and finish 10th or better in the point standing. I want to have at least 2 top 5 finishes and have at least 5 top 10 finishes. In 2014 I want to run my second full season of ARCA and finish in top 5 in the point standing. During the season I want to make connections with teams and team owners in NASCAR. During the 2014 season I want to win at least 2 races, have 5 or more top 5 finishes and have at least 10 finishes in the top 10. Then by the end of the 2014 season make a connection with a NASCAR team to move up to the NASCAR Nationwide Series or the Craftsman Truck Series for the 2015 season.
