"Race 101 has taught me how to slow down and talk to people, how to interact. Race 101 has also taught me alot about shocks and different ways to work with a car in different situations. I thought being a part of the Race 101 program was a truly great experience and I thank all of you guys for your time this year."
"RACE 101 has really changed me into a better person. It has helped me make myself focus more, and keep myself in a positive light, even when things go bad. To represent a group such as RACE 101, it really means a lot to put on a good race, but to also hold myself up high even when things do not go my way. Racers will be racers, and will get upset when not performing well, but at the same time it is important for you and the team and anyone watching you to represent yourself in a cool and collective form, no matter what may step your way."

Letters and emails from our students:
"I just wanna say thanks for everything if I don't win premier driver it's not gonna hurt me because your program and the test friday (in the race 101 car) proved 1 thing to me I need a little more self confidence because after all the phone calls after the test a lot of people (fellow students) told me I was a great driver and that just boosted me because I'm not cocky and I never really looked at myself as a great driver now I got a different outlook on things just thank u so much again!"
"I just wanted to say thanks to all of you for a great weekend, and a great year. It has been an educational and successful year for me. I could not have imagined I would be in the presence of such open and caring people when I decided to get into racing back in 2008. The people I have met and run into along the way have all been blessings to me and I have made every moment count. I've always dreamed of getting into racing, and never imagined it would be like this. The number of resourceful and educational people I have met have put me where I am today. I want to thank each and everyone of you for what you have accomplished in this program this year, and at how much I have benefited at this year, I really have enjoyed the times I have spent doing the thing I want to do and really making it feel worth while. Giving me the ability to be a successful driver not only at the track, but in the world of racing in general I feel really honored to have been given this opportunity this year.
When I got that first call from Tony asking if I was interested in participating in RACE 101, I could not have predicted what a successful and fulfilling year I would have experienced. The roads I have traveled this year, and the opportunities I have had have made it all worth while. I do not know what the future holds for me in racing, whether it is to be a driver, a pit crew member, or even a team owner I do not know. All I know is I have been given the knowledge, and awareness of what is out there in the world of racing and what I can do with it if I put my mind to it. I cannot tell you enough times how blessed I feel each and everyday being a part of this program, knowing people such as yourselves to be as caring and open to helping people like me.
No matter where the road in life takes me I plan to keep the words of wisdom from all of you guys to help better myself as a human being. If I don't make it as a driver then I will work hard at whatever it is I do, so hopefully one day when I have a family I can provide well for them as my father has done for my family. To be the best man I can be for those around me, and seeing the affect it has on other people's lives is was it is truly about. I get my joy from helping others and sharing in my good fortunes. I am still young, I will have temptations, I will have my moments of weakness and make mistakes, but that is where all this learning and education comes into play and with maturity will come my time to be a leader for someone else.
I really appreciate all you have all done for me this year. The staff and the drivers and families have all made me feel so welcome. With the new advances over this winter and into next year with moving up into divisions, I will have more opportunities to learn and apply the knowledge I have picked up this year and make even next year just as good, if not better. The road of life is full of twists, turns and sometimes potholes; with the help and guidance of my family, and from all of those inspirational people around me such as yourselves, I plan to make my life as fulfilling as possible and make it the best it can be with whatever I have, and with whatever circumstances I am given.
I truly thank you for this."

Was a pleasure meeting you out at Illiana this past Saturday. You never know who you may run into. I came home and looked at your site. Sometimes reading a persons background helps one to know and understand a person better. Not to mention the amount of respect you feel when doing so. The time and effort you have put into this sport is something that deserves a lot of respect. The little time you spent with us meant a lot to us. I know you are there to do a job. I could have only wished to have had an individual like you working with my kid when he first started running these cars at 13. But still you taking the time to explain what you could at the time means a lot and really shows where your heart is as a person. I am calling Dick Tomorrow to try and sort somethings out with this car. Again, thank you for your time. Sometimes you just wish you could hang around a person like you, especially when your thirsty for knowledge. It has been a long road to haul for us especially me not coming from a racing background. Thank you again Tony.

"Tony Blanchard is one of the most patient, efficient and detail oriented crew chiefs I have had the opportunity to work with. As a parent, I appreciated the time he always took with me to explain why and what he was doing with Joey and the car, and he was always willing to listen to us as well. As a crew chief he is extremely knowledgeable and professional. As a coach for a young driver, he has a natural ability to communicate with these kids, and he and Joey worked very well together. When he works with you, Tony comes from neutral place and he understands how to relate to a racing family. He helps you keep a realistic balance and goals. Tony has great stability and focus, and he did a great job for us. He was definitely one of the major people who was very instrumental in Joey's development as a driver. As a person, Tony is one of the most honest and genuinely good people I have ever met. I personally recommend Tony Blanchard and RACE 101 to any parent with a young driver looking to advance in the sport."
- Tom Logano, father of NASCAR Sprint Cup Driver Joey Logano
“Tony Blanchard is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to all aspects of the race car. He will bring experience to our company that we feel will be a very valuable addition to the technical service we have always provided our customers. Tony and Race 101 will be a tremendous resource for Howe customers that want to take their program to the next level.”
- Chas Howe, Howe Racing Enterprises Owner and President
“Tony and I met each other for the first time not at a test, but at a race we were competing in. Tony put a set up in the car that I will admit was not my style at all – but it worked right away. We had a very fast car and would have won for sure, unfortunately we got wrecked with a few laps to go. But overall it was a really good weekend. I liked the fact that he (Blanchard) brought in a fresh perspective and thinks outside the box. He’s great to work with and bank ideas back and forth. I am looking forward to working with him again.”
- Robbie Pyle, Howe Racing Enterprises House Driver
"Last winter we decided to send our cars to Tony Blanchard. He brought in Rob "Bucket" Torrey, and they basically rebuilt the cars. We noticed a difference straight off the trailer our very first trip to the race track. The cars were fast, consistent, and they stayed fast in the long run. Sending the cars to Tony was the best decision we've made in a long time. We hired Bucket as our crew chief, and it was a great year. Thanks Tony!"
- Jeff Lapcevich, Fastline Motorsports (NASCAR Canadian Tire Series) Hamilton, Ontario Canada
"When I first worked with Tony he was my crew chief when I was 14 years old and I was making the transition to full body cars. He was a great teacher and coach, and we had alot of success together in the ACT tour, in which Tony assisted me in being the youngest driver ever accepted into that series at age 15. I could have not gone through that first season without Tony's guidance. Now I am racing in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and I am glad I can fall back on everything that Tony has taught me. I still call him for advice! I highly recommend Tony Blanchard and RACE 101 for ANY race driver looking to improve their skills, learn communication and get a better understanding of the race car. Especially for a young or transitioning driver- Tony can make make that learning curve so much easier."
- Joey “Pole” Polewarczyk - Driver in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East / ACT Late Model Tour
"Tony Blanchard is a no-nonsense, thinking man’s type of leader when it comes to racing. He is quite knowledgeable in all aspects of the industry, and will not stoop to tell someone what they want to hear for the sake of
money. Take him or leave him, but investing in Tony is investing in success in racing!"
- Richmond Gage, Program Head, Motorsports Management Technology Rowan-Cabarrus Community College - Concord, NC
"What I like about Tony is the fact that he is not out there gold diggin' for the kid with the most money. He's out to help people save money, and be honest with the parents about their kid's capabilities. Tony is all business at the race track and he's there to get the best out of a driver and a car. I think Race 101 is a good deal for these parents with young drivers to learn the real side of racing. We get alot of people calling us at ASA about what to do and where to go and Race 101 is definitely on our referral list."
